MLB Baseball Tickets
After the distractions of the past year, enjoying your MLB baseball tickets should be easy. Coming back stronger than ever from the urges and penalties, Major League Baseball is back to offer fans the tried and true elements of baseball at it’s best. But as happens every year, those same fans who clamor for baseball tickets will be asking the eternal question: Who has a good shot at being in the race for a World Series appearance?
MLB American League
Whenever that question is asked, thoughts have to turn toward the New York Yankees. Hitting won’t be a problem. The Yankees feature a strong lineup with A-Rod, Johnny Damon, Jason Giambi, and others too numerous too mention. Yankees tickets will always be among the best baseball tickets around based simply on reputation. The question now is whether this crew will continue to perform at a high level under new manager Joe Girardi. More importantly, can they handle the no longer cursed Boston Red Sox?
2007’s World Series winners return with a crew of guys capable of doing it again. Curt Schilling is a question mark, but one of only a few. The Red Sox should be in it at the end.
The rest of the American League will play second fiddle to the greatest rivalry in sports but not by very much. The Cleveland Indians had Boston on the ropes before collapsing themselves. Young and improving, the Indians will still have to fight off a Detroit Tigers team that is good enough to have birthed a swelling stream of enthusiasm in the Motor City. Playing better defense could take the Indians a long way. Looking West, the Los Angeles Angels, having lost two starting pitchers before opening day, will be relying on bats and speed in the outfield. Their pitching woes could be eased if John Lackey can step up. Oh, and then there’s the Seattle Mariners, who finished the season a whisker behind in the AL West. New management could upset the apple cart in a positive way.
MLB National League
MLB tickets in the National League offer perhaps even more intrigue. The Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, and Atlanta Braves finished in a tight race in the East but in the Major League Baseball season expect the Phillies and Mets to make it a two team race. Looking to the Central, the Chicago Cubs will be looking for their first World Series appearance in eons. They’ll also sell baseball tickets like crazy. All those Cubbies fans know a good thing when they see it. The Milwaukee Brewers will have a say in the matter though, as pundits are looking for Milwaukee to hit the MLB Playoffs for the first time since 1992. Finally, the West will be watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies to once again run neck and neck. Both won 90 games last season, only a hair ahead of the San Diego Padres
MLB Baseball Tickets are Alive Again
Like a breath of fresh air, MLB tickets will bring a new sense of enjoyment to baseball fans. The long dark days of inquiries and controversy are all but over. Once again, the smell of popcorn and hot dogs during the seventh inning stretch is all that matter to MLB ticket holders. And that’s a good thing.
